Apparently Go Daddy found some solid ROI so far from their Superbowl Ad. They sent out a press release earlier today saying that their website had a significant jump in not only hits but also domain purchases. I guess we will see next year whether or not they continue with the sex-sells concept or back off.

I 100% agree with you in saying that Pepsi made a smart decision by pulling out (Insert TDHurts joke again). Their current social-campaign isn't about their product, its about the people and making a difference on a global scale. I think they are accomplishing way more than these other companies with that campaign then they did with a single Ad.

That would have been pretty sweet. But Pepsi was probably afraid that some would claim they're capitalizing on MJ's death. But most big brands wanted to stay far far away from any hint at his controversy. I just agree with Pepsi's decision to stay out of Super Bowl ads. Other than Denny's who has a direct call to action...I can't imagine the ROI comes anywhere close.

They should have run one of their old commercials featuring Michael Jackson from the eighties. That would've gotten a lot of attention I bet.

But you're right about Pepsi, too. Nearly every Super Bowl ad this year felt cheap and normal. Nothing blew me back or really stood out, except for the Google ad (which told a story) and the HomeAway.com (I THINK) ad with the best line of the night about complementary water.

But few if any ads had a call to action, an online link or any sort of real connection. And a video game ad? During the Super Bowl? Is that even necessary?

Skechers should have just burned their money. GoDaddy is done.
