    You are correct. I just got mine (although I'm pretty sure I checked into way more than 5 different SB!) and it's the barista badge for checking into 5 different Starbucks.

    The City of Chicago (explorechicago.com) has some pretty cool ones, like one for hitting up places seen in Ferris Bueller.

    I've heard rumor of a Time Out Chicago badge as well….

    Actually, that site was created on April 9th, and simply copied the list I've been maintaining at http://tonyfelice.wordpress.com/foursquare . Of course, they're not the first to have copied it, but most other people have at least given credit. Pretty disappointing to see.

    In addition to the Swarm badge, there's also a Super Swarm badge, which requires 250+ people checked in at the same place.

    Gossip Girl badge is possibly NYC specific? Or anywhere as long as the venue is tagged with “Gossip Girl”. Not sure if one has to check in several times or is one check in enough to unlock the badge.

    Just unlocked some more badges – Celtics badge and Lakers badge for NBA Finals 2010. Just need to shout “Go Celtics!” or “Go Lakers!” while you check-in. Not sure how long the badge will be around… you can get both badges if you want :)

    Looks like it was just unlocked less than 12 hours ago. Still no idea how to unlock it… People are unlocking it at the Internet Week HQ http://foursquare.com/venue/4551832 and I'm not seeing any shouts required for it, but possibly has something to do with the checkin time during the day. It's nighttime now and I'm unable to unlock it.

    Hi Glen, when you pull up a “Place” on Foursquare, you'll be able to see if anyone else and how many people are checked in there. Depending on the demographics will help you get a badge. As far as the Player Please badge, I'll look into this but it may that you need to be checked-in with friends. Thanks for asking!

    Whenever I have problems with not getting a badge it’s generally because it’s not the “official” location that I’ve checked into, or it’s not tagged correctly. Sorry for that inconvenience, I hate when that happens!

    There is a badge missing!!! I have unlocked it today! it is called “7-10 Split” and the description says: You’ve shown your loyalty to the lanes, cooking up one hot turkey after the next. Now see if you can crash that 8-year-old’s birthday party. That cake looks good!

    I’m pretty sad because I visited 5 different locations in Oahu, Hawaii to try and unlock the Historian badge and have yet to receive it. After each check in I get the History Channel info window so I know I have the correct venue, but still no badge. Any suggestions?
